Karen's philosophy

For Karen, interior design isn't just about designing the latest trend or fad. It's more about bringing together all elements. In essence, eco-friendly, sustainable, toxic-free products, materials and methods harmonised cohesively with personal colour preferences and great design. It's not just the seen, but also the unseen, that creates a truly holistic interior design.

Creating this balance is crucial for Karen to ensure there is natural synergy for the client and those for whom her holistic interior designs have been created.

When she set up her business it was very important for her to give back to society. She is an active supporter of the UK based charity Kids Company and their ongoing project 'Colour a Child's Life'.

Karen's Experience

Karen's education is broad; having initially studied fashion design and millinery at the Sydney School of Fashion. This was followed by further studies in colour consulting and colour psychology at the School of Colour and Design Australia, plus NCS Colour Specification and Interior Design at KCC, London. Specialising in a more holistic route, Karen continued her studies through the UK Holistic Design Institute in Colour Therapeutics for Interiors and Holistic Interior Design and Child Psychology through ICS.

Karen is also qualified as a Prince2 Project Manager and brings exceptional budget control and time management to every project.

Furthering her understanding of colour, she studied under the renowned UK Colourist and Psychologist, Angela Wright and is a qualified colourist using the Colour Affects system.
